Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

As a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator at OnQ, you’ll play a key role to ensure the shipping & receiving processes at OnQ run smoothly and effectively under the direction of the Shipping Manager. This position includes the shipping and receiving of raw materials & finished products, as well as creating & executing shipping schedules. A Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is relied upon to coordinate and distribute products nationwide by FTL, LTL and small-parcel shipment methods, ensuring orders are completed, shipped and delivered in a timely manner.

Essential Duties May Include:

  • Shipping & Receiving: Review shipping requirements with sales & project management teams, preparing bills of lading and associated documentation to execute shipment of products from on-site and remote locations.
  • Pack-out Oversight: Work with warehouse production personnel to prepare jobs for shipment, including review of BOM’s for packout and identification of shipping label criteria to ensure projects are planned and documented correctly for final shipment from OnQ.
  • Quality Control: Oversee and inspect incoming/outgoing packages to ensure accuracy and condition of all shipments.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Track and relay status of shipments to accounting personnel, sales team and project managers.
  • Warehouse Space Management: Determine and calculate space required for incoming goods.
  • Warehouse Technology: Utilize software systems specific to small-parcel distribution to create batching labels, track shipments and provide POD reports
  • Compliance Oversight: Review customer-provided routing guides to ensure OnQ compliance.
  • Warehouse Equipment Operation: Utilize equipment associated with the shipping department, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Supplies Management: Inventory packaging materials required for the shipping department, reordering supplies as needed. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required 

  • Warehouse Experience: Must have 1-3 years of warehouse & shipping experience, with thorough knowledge of UPS, FedEx and other small-parcel carrier logistics.
  • Team Player: Ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-driven and enjoys working in a team environment, working efficiently to stage and prepare product for the production department.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Analytical, well-organized, with a great eye for detail, strong math skills and excellent communication.
  • Procedural Expertise: Must be comfortable with paperwork & information systems, and have great knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures.
  • Physical Capabilities: Must have adequate physical strength to offload shipments, as well as utilize a forklift (training and certification provided by OnQ).
  • Technical Proficiency: Candidate should be proficient in spreadsheets, databases and MS Office, with the ability to manipulate Excel, csv and other data files to create V lookups, sorting, search menus, pivot tables and other Excel data functions.
  • Driver Authorization: Must have valid unrestricted OH driver’s license, as the candidate will periodically be required to drive packages to local UPS or FedEx hubs in their personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement.
  • Travel-Ready: Candidate may travel as required to domestic shipping points to process outbound shipments from OnQ.
  • Workplace Safety: Practices all safety procedures and protocols.

Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Scale:
$18-$20/hour
