We are seeking a driven, energetic and innovative Industrial Designer that brings their A-game. Our company specializes in full-service design and production and we excel at producing retail displays/installations for some of the largest brands and retailers. This position will report to the Creative Services Director.
Key Responsibilities
Think on the fly and offer up creative ideas during meetings and brainstorms
Provide sketches, 3D models, final renderings of retail display fixtures or store experiences
Stay current and consistent in retail design trends and materials
Demonstrate proficiency in taking concepts from 2D sketch through to great looking 3D renderings
Work with Design team to guide and design retail/branding graphics and experiences
Utilize knowledge of temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent retail materials when applicable
Produce placeholder graphics when needed for presentations
Think through fixture details, assembly, and use
Highlight key design features when submitting and presenting design intent
Receive and manage feedback from one project to the next
Required Skills & Abilities
Advanced sketching skills
Knowledge of retail design industry
Minimum 3 years of professional-level design experience in producing 3D renderings
Expert level in Adobe CC; InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Expert level of SolidWorks, Rhino and/or Keyshot preferred
Excellent collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing tasks and demands
Exceptional organizational skills; ability to set priorities and adapt as these priorities shift, handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
Detail-oriented and willingness to learn and adapt with technology.
Creative problem-solving skills; critical thinker, consistently able to avoid inconsistency and solve problems efficiently
Must remember to stay current and consistent in design trends and retail norms
Proven ability to deliver consistently high quality work under tight deadlines
Display excellent judgment, while operating in a flexible and professional manner
Ability to deliver compelling and technically accurate designs – Yes, proofing your own work is a must!
Video editing, Illustration and UX/UI skills are a plus
